Meggan
Deputy Manager
Brief info
I have worked within childcare for over 11 years and am excited to use my expertise in SEN, behaviour management and Health and saftey within the setting as well as the deputy safeguarding lead.
I enjoy helping children to act out and extend their learning from a favourite story. This can be done through imagination play (e.g dressing up) or even story walks around the environment.
I am committed to developing my professional development for myself and the setting. I am fully trained in Makaton, EKLAN (Speech and language support) level 3, Autism awareness training and Epliepsy awareness training.
I have also completed a foundation degree in early years care and education. Here I researched John Bowlby's theory around attachments and the importance of children forming good quality attachments with their care givers to ensure they continue to have good relationships and attachments through life . This is something I am passionate about providing for all children within my care.
