Lexi

Hello everyone!
My name is Lexi, I am an Early Years Educator, I have a CACHE Level 3 qualification in childcare and education which I studied for at Bexhill college. I have 2 years of experience from studying childcare and doing volunteer placements in settings.
I have been working in a nursery for the last 2 years.
I really enjoy helping children to settle in to the setting, ensuring they feel safe, welcome, valued and confident. I enjoy working with children 1-1 or in small groups and creating bonds with them and helping them to develop and progress their skills through conversation and activities. I enjoy promoting all areas of learning but particularly enjoy messy play activities.
I have been interested in childcare since I was a little girl and used to role-play teachers with my sister and friends. My passion for childcare grew when my younger brother was born in 2015. I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in childcare and started studying for my level 3. As I studied for my qualification and done work experience in different settings my passion for childcare kept growing and is still growing.
One of my favourite activities is making and playing with moon sand with children, adding in numbers and shapes to promote maths or adding letters and Mark making tools to promote literacy for example.
